As part of the implementation of the State Program on Countering Religious Extremism and Terrorism in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2018-2022, an information and explanatory event on religious issues was held at the Medical and Technical College, with the participation of employees of the CIR T. Sovetov and B. Omarov.
During the meeting, the speakers informed about the activities of radical, extremist movements, the reasons for people falling into destructive religious movements, signs and methods of recruiting these organizations, and also explained about the main aspects of the legal support of the state’s policy in the field of religion, the current legislation in the religious sphere and measures of responsibility for its violation.
At the end, the students received a handout explaining the essence of destructive religious movements, the definition of the term secularism of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the hotline “iKomek-109”, lists of terrorist and extremist organizations banned in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, information about the confessional palette in the city of Nur-Sultan, as well as excerpts from the regulatory framework of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
